I’m Cristina Sanz, and my motto is: old and functional.

Director of Restoration of old houses, and has always felt a special connection with traditional architecture. I am one of those people who walk the streets with an attentive eye, stopping at every facade with history. I can’t help but admire doors, railings and architectural details, because each of these elements has a soul of its own and deserves to be.
Every time I enter an old house, one thought accompanies me: ‘I hope someone will take care of it and give it another chance’.
Ever since I was a child, village houses have aroused in me a mixture of fascination and nostalgia. Seeing them in a state of abandonment made me feel that something precious was being lost. So I decided to turn this passion into my purpose. I trained as a draughtsman and restorer-conservator of cultural property, combining technical knowledge and artistic sensitivity to recover the soul of these houses.
Cristina Sanz, restauración de casas antiguas

I am enthusiastic about restoring these houses to their former splendour and habitability.

Thus was born Restoration of old houses: a project dedicated to restoring homes with history for people who value the beauty of the past and wish to live in a unique and peaceful environment. Our work not only recovers the architecture, but also rescues emotions, memories and the charm of another era, adapting them to the necessary ones.
Together, and under my direction, we create unique spaces, where each intervention respects the essence of the past and adapts it to the needs of the present. Our philosophy is clear: preserve the history of each house, conserve its soul and offer a second life to buildings full of architectural and sentimental value.
